Emma Watson reportedly earned £20 million last year, becoming Hollywood's top earning female star.

The 19-year-old raked in an estimated £10 million for the final two instalments of the Harry Potter films, placing her in the first half of Vanity Fair's list of Hollywood's top 40 earners.

Watson came 14th and was followed by co-star Rupert Grint in 15th place. Daniel Radcliffe was the highest paid actor having earned an estimated £26 million to take sixth spot, following the top five positions which were all taken by directors.

Michael Bay, who helmed Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, is thought to have earned more than £78 million, while Steven Spielberg was in second place with more than £53 million.

The list, which is compiled following interviews with agents, lawyers, studio executives and stars, also takes into account earnings from other sources.
